Helpful riding mower maintenance tips.

Sometimes a little preventative maintenance goes a long way. Here's what I found may help extend the life of your riding mower, and keep it running smooth for years to come.

At the end of each season of use, it helps to let the engine run completely out of gas. With the deposits created by Ethanol fuel, you'll save your self a lot of headaches, and hopefully expensive repair bills, by running it out of gas at the last use of the season, and starting with fresh gas in the Spring. In addition, during the season, I recommend using Sea Foam additive on a regular basis. Added to your fuel, this will help clean fuel components, and keep your riding mower running smooth, and easy to start by keeping the fuel system clean.

At the beginning of each season, replace the fuel filter, air filter, change the oil and filter, inspect the belts, sharpen the blades and you're in business!
